We have worked with enterprise scale systems including Documentum, Mediasurface, Digimaker and Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS), analysing business requirements and establishing appropriate access levels and organisational workflows that enable devolved publishing across a business.

Projects have included the development of XML-based workflows for publishing print magazines online with attention paid to automating the process as much as possible.

Open source solutions

For smaller-scale projects we have also worked with popular open source platforms including WordPress and Typepad.

These free or low cost options are often the perfect way to develop content and feature rich sites quickly and with a modular development path possible through the power of user developed plugins.

We love WordPress

It’s a mature platform that can be easily customised and extended for blogs, or brochure style product sites and includes out-of-the-box interactive features that are common in the Web 2.0 environment.

Best of all, even non-technical users love the straightforward administrative controls. If you can operate Word you’ll soon discover that running your own website is as simple as writing a letter (without the helpful paperclip).

We look forward to the 3.0 release and the integration of multi-user functionality like the BuddyPress plugin that allows anyone to create their own specialised social network.
